A context-first Bible study project built on the conviction that Scripture is true, coherent, and worth reading with care.
Bible & Context helps readers see the words, world, argument, and story around every passage so Scripture can be read clearly, faithfully, and in context.
Scripture is inspired, authoritative, true, and trustworthy.
Historical context helps us listen more carefully to the text.
Careful study should lead to clarity, humility, and worship.
Observe the passage itself before importing assumptions.
Recover the historical, geographic, and cultural setting.
Follow how each section moves within the book as a whole.
Bible & Context aims to write clearly, avoid sensationalism, distinguish context from speculation, and handle difficult questions honestly.
Where faithful Christians disagree, the goal is to represent meaningful differences fairly. Context should make the conversation more honest, not pretend every question is simpler than it is.
The project draws from Scripture, historical commentaries, biblical dictionaries, language tools, church history resources, and recognized Christian scholarship.
Drafting tools may help organize material, but they are not treated as authority. Content is reviewed, edited, refined, and measured against Scripture and responsible sources.
Core content is being built to remain freely available. Bible & Context is a labor of love. We don't charge for access, run intrusive ads, or sell user data. Your support helps fund:
Accuracy matters because Scripture matters. If you notice an error, unclear explanation, missing source context, or anything that should be corrected, please tell us.
