Word-study notes connected directly to the passages where those words matter.
Lexicons can show how Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek words are used, but a list of possible meanings is not the same as the meaning of a verse. Bible & Context treats lexical tools as context aids that help readers ask better questions of the sentence, paragraph, and book.
Avoid word-study shortcuts. A word's root, range, or possible gloss does not automatically decide a passage. The immediate context, repeated usage, genre, and argument of the book must do the heavier work.
A standalone searchable lexicon interface is not the first priority. Relevant lexical entries are linked directly from the Context section of each supported passage.
This keeps word studies anchored to each passage's argument and flow.
James Strong published his Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible in 1890. He assigned a unique number to every distinct Hebrew and Greek word found in the Bible.
