Because of that, interpreters must infer whether “forever” is limited to the speaker’s lifetime and whether “vows” refers mainly to specific pledged offerings or to a wider set of commitments.

What this passage clearly contributes

This closing line contributes a clear picture of what the speaker thinks a right response to God’s help looks like: ongoing public praise and reliable follow-through on promises. It also shows how worship and integrity are linked in the psalm’s logic—praise is not detached from commitments, and commitments are pictured as renewed “day by day” (Psalms 61:8).
