Ecclesiastes / Question
Question source
Ecclesiastes
Ecclesiastes says some realities are beyond human power to fix: “who can make that straight, which he hath made crooked?” (Ecclesiastes 7:13). The statement is tied to accepting that God has made both “the day of prosperity” and “the day of adversity,” and that people cannot fully foresee what comes after (Ecclesiastes 7:14).
13Consider the work of God, for who can make that straight, which he has made crooked?
14In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider; yes, God has made the one side by side with the other, to the end that man should not find out anything after him.
