Leviticus / Question
Question source
Leviticus
Leviticus lists several guilt situations: failing to testify after hearing a public call, touching an unclean thing, touching human uncleanness, or making a rash oath. The passage notes that a person may become aware of the guilt later. These cases introduce the need for confession and an offering (Leviticus 5:1–4).
1If anyone sin, in that he hears the voice of adjuration, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn`t report it, then he shall bear his iniquity.
2Or if anyone touch any unclean thing, whether it be the carcass of an unclean animal, or the carcass of unclean cattle, or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and it be hidden from him, and he be unclean, then he shall be guilty.
3Or if he touch the uncleanness of man, whatever his uncleanness be with which he is unclean, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty.
4Or if anyone swear rashly with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatever it be that a man shall utter rashly with an oath, and it be hid from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty in one of these [things].
