What happened if a Nazirite became unclean by sudden contact with death?

If someone died suddenly beside a Nazirite, the Nazirite’s consecrated head was defiled. The person shaved the head on the seventh day, brought offerings on the eighth day, and the previous days were void. See Numbers 6:9–12.

Numbers 6:9–12 explains what a Nazirite must do if someone dies suddenly right next to him, making him unclean and ruining his dedicated period. He must shave his head as part of a timed cleansing process, then bring two birds to the priest for two offerings. After this, he restarts his dedicated days to Yahweh and adds a male lamb offering.
