20:5-6Meaning
Jehoshaphat prays publicly and begins with who God is Jehoshaphat stands before the assembly in Yahweh’s house, positioned in front of a “new court” (v. 5). He opens by addressing Yahweh as the God of their ancestors and asks a chain of questions that assert God’s rule: God is in heaven, governs all nations’ kingdoms, and holds power that no one can resist (v. 6).
