Reasonable inference from context: the narrative is setting up a reversal by bringing Mordecai’s earlier faithfulness back into view right before the next encounters in the palace. Whether one calls that “remarkable timing” or “providential timing,” the passage functions as the trigger that moves the plot from hidden danger toward public recognition (compare the earlier record in Esther 2:21–23).
