13:22Meaning
The charge—emotional harm and moral distortion Yahweh says the false prophets have used lies to “grieve” the heart of the righteous—people whom Yahweh says he did not intend to be crushed in this way. At the same time, their messages “strengthened” wrongdoers, making it less likely those wrongdoers would turn back from their destructive path and continue living.
Unit 2 (v. 23a): The sentence—an end to deceptive revelation-claims
Because of their behavior, Yahweh declares they will no longer “see” false visions nor continue divination. The point is not simply that their content is wrong, but that their claimed pipeline of guidance will be cut off and their practices stopped.
Unit 3 (v. 23b): The outcome—rescue and recognition
Yahweh promises to deliver his people “out of your hand,” picturing release from the prophets’ controlling influence. The final line states the intended result: the prophets (and by implication the wider community) will know that he is Yahweh.
