Others think the phrasing and the detailed description strongly suggest something like a documented transaction, even if the document itself is not mentioned.
Why mention “all the trees”? Some read the trees mainly as boundary markers and a way to prevent later disputes about the edges of the property. Others think the point is broader: listing trees highlights the full value and completeness of what Abraham bought, not just the cave.
