Wait like a farmer waits James tells “brothers” to be patient until the Lord’s coming. He says to “look”: a farmer keeps waiting for the crop that is valuable, through the long process of early and later rains. In the same way, they should steady themselves inwardly (“establish your hearts”), because the Lord’s coming is described as near.
