23:33-36Meaning
Date, duration, gatherings, and work restrictions Yahweh speaks to Moses and sets the Feast of Booths on the fifteenth day of the seventh month. The feast runs seven days “to Yahweh.” The first day is a sacred public gathering, and normal labor is prohibited. Fire offerings are to be brought each of the seven days, and an eighth day is also set apart for a gathering and fire offering; it is called a special assembly, and normal labor is again prohibited.
