The detail of a man carrying a water jar stands out because water-carrying was often done by women, so it could function as a recognizable sign in a busy city.

Others think the festival language may be less precise and could be Mark’s way of locating the scene in “Passover week” more generally, even if the meal’s exact timing is debated when compared with other Gospel timelines.
2) The water-jar man: planned contact or providential sign? Some think Jesus had arranged this ahead of time (a discreet password-and-contact plan in a crowded, risky city). Others think Mark presents it mainly as Jesus’ foreknowledge: they will meet the right person because Jesus knows it.
3) The “master of the house”: ally, host, or simply the owner? Some infer a prior relationship between Jesus and the householder (he responds immediately and has a room ready). Others read him as a normal homeowner who cooperates once approached with the Teacher’s request.
Mark reports the instructions and the successful outcome but does not explain how Jesus knows, or why the man/householder cooperates.
