vv. 25–26: Long affliction and failed remedies
A woman has bled for twelve years, suffered under many physicians, spent all she had, and worsened.
vv. 27–29: Approach through the crowd and immediate change
Having heard reports, she comes in the crowd and touches his garments. The bleeding stops and she senses bodily relief.
vv. 30–32: Jesus stops to identify the touch
Jesus perceives something has gone out from him and asks who touched his clothes; the disciples point to the press of the crowd.
vv. 33–34: Fearful confession and public dismissal
The woman comes forward trembling, tells the whole truth, and Jesus addresses her and sends her away in peace, declaring her cured from the condition.
