Amos / Question
Question source
Amos
Amos describes a future of overflowing agricultural abundance where the plowman overtakes the reaper and the mountains drip sweet wine. He also speaks of Israel being planted on their land, with no more uprooting. See Amos 9:13–15.
13Behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the one treading grapes him who sows seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14I will bring back the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine of it; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15I will plant them on their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, says Yahweh your God.
