Bible Reliability
The Bible is trustworthy because it presents itself as God's word given for truth, wisdom, correction, hope, and salvation, and because its story holds together around God's promises and their fulfillment in Christ. Biblical trust is not built by treating every passage like a detached proof-text. It grows by reading each book in context, testing claims carefully, and seeing how Scripture bears witness to God's character, covenant faithfulness, judgment, mercy, and redemption.
The Bible presents trust as a response to God's faithful word, fulfilled promises, and the witness to Christ. This question begins with Scripture's own testimony, then follows how that testimony holds together across law, prophets, writings, Gospel, and apostolic proclamation.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 speaks of Scripture as God-breathed and useful for forming God's people. Luke 24:25-32 shows Jesus reading the Law and the Prophets as a witness that leads to him. Psalm 119 connects God's word with truth, wisdom, and faithful guidance.

A common shortcut is to answer the question with a slogan while ignoring genre, context, transmission, and the Bible's own storyline. Another shortcut is to demand a modern kind of precision from ancient narrative, poetry, law, prophecy, and letter-writing.
