Question source
John
Jesus tells Nicodemus that unless one is “born again” (or “born from above”), he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). He describes this as being “born of water and the Spirit” and contrasts flesh and Spirit (John 3:5–6).
3Jesus answered him, "Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can`t see the kingdom of God."
4Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother`s womb, and be born?"
5Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he can`t enter into the kingdom of God!
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
