Current coverage includes 1 Peter, John, Romans.
John describes salvation as receiving life from above—an inner re-creation by God that brings a new relationship to him. This new life is centered on Jesus, sustained by his words, and expressed in walking in truth.
22Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:
23having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.
24For, "All flesh is like grass, And all of man`s glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;
25But the Lord`s word endures forever." This is the word of good news which was preached to you.
3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became the father of us again to a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
10who in time past were no people, but now are the people of God, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
2as newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the Word, that you may grow thereby,
3if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious:
2that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
12But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God`s children, to those who believe in his name:
13who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
10The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
25Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he die, yet will he live.
26Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
14As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
15that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3Jesus answered him, "Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can`t see the kingdom of God."
4Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother`s womb, and be born?"
5Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he can`t enter into the kingdom of God!
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Don`t marvel that I said to you, `You must be born anew.`
8The wind blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don`t know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
10Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, `Give me a drink,` you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water."
11The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From where then have you that living water?
12Are you greater than our father, Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank of it himself, as did his sons, and his cattle?"
13Jesus answered her, "Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again,
14but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."
24Most assuredly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn`t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
25Most assuredly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God`s voice; and those who hear will live.
35Jesus said to them. "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.
63It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
3Or don`t you know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
4We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don`t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
11But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God.
5For those who are after the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
