After the devoted items were brought out, Achan and what belonged to him were taken to the Valley of Achor Joshua 7:24. The account says all Israel stoned him and raised over him a great heap of stones, and the LORD turned from his burning anger Joshua 7:25–26.
In Joshua 7:24–26, Joshua and the whole community take Achan, the items he kept, and everything connected to his household to a nearby valley. This scene closes the Achan episode that began with Israel’s defeat at Ai and the discovery that someone kept forbidden spoils.
