Shared ground
Ruth 2:10–13 shows kindness given to a vulnerable outsider and received with humility.
Text claims: Ruth names herself a foreigner and is surprised to be noticed. Boaz explains that her earlier loyalty to Naomi is widely known, and he speaks a blessing that Yahweh would repay her and protect her (“under his wings”). Ruth says Boaz’s words have comforted her and that his kindness goes beyond what her status would normally allow.
Theological inference: God’s care is often shown through ordinary people who choose to protect and provide. The passage also presents trust in Yahweh as a place of safety for someone who has left former securities. Ruth 2:12
