A second, more detailed question about branches, spouts, and oil
Zechariah asks again, “the second time,” showing his first question did not settle the matter. Now he narrows in on “two olive branches” positioned beside “two golden spouts.” He describes what these spouts do: they empty or pour “the golden oil” out from themselves, emphasizing an active, continual-looking flow from the olive sources into the lamp system.
Unit 3 (vv. 11–12 together): From general sources to the delivery system
Taken together, the questions move from the overall providers (trees) to the immediate conduits (branches and spouts). The repetition signals that the meaning hinges not only on the presence of olive trees, but on how their produce becomes usable oil for the lampstand.
