Jehu comes to Jezreel (2 Kings 9:30). Jezebel prepares her appearance and speaks down from a window, confronting Jehu as he enters the gate area (2 Kings 9:31).
vv. 32–33
Jehu looks up and asks who is on his side; several eunuchs respond. At his command they throw Jezebel down; the fall and trampling are described with concrete physical effects (2 Kings 9:32–33).
vv. 34–35
Jehu later orders that Jezebel be buried, citing her royal status, but those sent out find only partial remains (2 Kings 9:34–35).
vv. 36–37
Jehu interprets the outcome as the fulfillment of an earlier prophetic warning and highlights the loss of identifiable remains in the territory of Jezreel (2 Kings 9:36–37).
