These verses follow a severe warning about the danger of drifting and falling away (Heb 6:4–8) and pivot to encouragement. The focus on perseverance “to the end” echoes Hebrews’ repeated emphasis on holding firm (cf. Hebrews 3:14). The mention of inheriting promises anticipates the next paragraph about God’s promise and oath (Heb 6:13–20).
