The community’s response “in that day” The passage then imagines what people will say at the time of fulfillment: “Behold, this is our God.” They interpret the outcome as the arrival of the one they “waited for,” and they describe him as the one who “will save us.” The repetition (“this is Yahweh; we have waited for him”) intensifies recognition and relief, leading to a shared emotional result: “we will be glad and rejoice.”
