v. 8 — Reaching shore with the catch
The others come in the small boat because they are near land—about two hundred cubits—and they drag the net full of fish.
vv. 9–10 — Fire, food, and a request
On stepping onto the land, they see a charcoal fire with fish and bread. Jesus tells them to bring some of the fish they have just caught.
v. 11 — Peter hauls in the net and the catch is counted
Simon Peter pulls the net up onto the land, full of large fish—153—and the net is not torn.
vv. 12–14 — Eating and recognition
Jesus invites them to eat breakfast. No one asks his identity because they recognize him. Jesus distributes bread and fish, and the narrator marks this as another appearance to the disciples.
