2 Timothy / Question
Question source
2 Timothy
Paul says that in the last days there will be times of difficulty in 2 Timothy 3:1. He then lists many traits, including being lovers of self and money, proud, abusive, and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God in 2 Timothy 3:2–4. He also describes people who have the appearance of godliness but deny its power in 2 Timothy 3:5.
1But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come.
2For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good,
4traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
5holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also.
