14:6Meaning
A messenger and a worldwide audience John sees “another angel” flying in mid-heaven, positioned to be seen and heard broadly. The angel carries an “eternal” announcement to proclaim to those who live on the earth. The audience is then expanded and specified as every nation, tribe, language, and people, stressing total reach.
Unit 2 (v. 7a): The call to respond
The angel speaks loudly, issuing three linked commands: “Fear God,” “give him glory,” and (in the next line) “worship.” The first two frame the response as reverent seriousness and public honor directed to God.
Unit 3 (v. 7b): The urgency and the reason for worship
The reason given is that “the hour of his judgment has come,” presenting the moment as decisive rather than distant. The call to worship then identifies God as the Creator of heaven, earth, sea, and springs of water, grounding worship in God’s role as maker and ruler of the whole world.
