Likewise, “present” is not explained, leaving room for either symbolic (honor) or logistical (supplies) readings.
Explicitly, the text shows Jeremiah’s release, Babylon’s willingness to permit movement, and a concrete choice between exile in Babylon or life among the remnant in Judah.
