The Danites set out and arrange the march so that “the little ones,” livestock, and goods go in front, indicating an ordered traveling group.
vv. 22–23
After the Danites are some distance away, men from the nearby houses assemble and catch up. They call out; the Danites turn and question why Micah has come with a group.
v. 24
Micah names the losses: the gods he made and the priest, then presses the rhetorical point—what remains for him.
vv. 25–26
The Danites warn Micah not to raise his voice among them, threatening that violent men could strike and bring fatalities to his household. Seeing they are stronger, Micah turns back and the Danites continue.
