2 Timothy / Question
Question source
2 Timothy
Paul says the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind, able to teach, and patient in 2 Timothy 2:24. He adds that opponents should be corrected with gentleness in hopes that God may grant repentance in 2 Timothy 2:25. The goal described is coming to a knowledge of the truth and escape from the devil’s snare in 2 Timothy 2:26.
24The Lord`s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
25in gentleness correcting those who oppose him; if perhaps God may give them repentance to the knowledge of the truth,
26and they may recover themselves out of the devil`s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
