2to Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father, and Christ Jesus, our Lord.
1I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men:
2for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.
8I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
5For it is sanctified through the word of God and prayer.
5Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
3We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, praying always for you,
9For this cause, we also, since the day we heard this, haven`t ceased to pray and make requests for you, that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
10to walk worthily of the Lord, to please him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
11strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, to all patience and perseverance with joy;
12giving thanks to the Father, who made us fit to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
12Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, salutes you, always striving for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
18The salutation of me, Paul, with my own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.
2Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;
3praying together for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;
4that I may reveal it as I ought to speak.
5But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given him.
2You lust, and don`t have. You kill, covet, and can`t obtain. You fight and make war. Yet you don`t have, because you don`t ask.
3You ask, and don`t receive, because you ask amiss, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
13Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises.
14Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,
15and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him.
16Confess your offenses one to another, and pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective.
17Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn`t rain on the earth for three years and six months.
18He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.
2Mercy to you and peace and love be multiplied.
20But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.
21Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.
24Now to him who is able to keep them from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory in great joy,
25to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
13But the angel said to him, "Don`t be afraid, Zacharias, because your request has been heard, and your wife, Elizabeth, will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
1It happened, that when he finished praying in a certain place, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John also taught his disciples."
2He said to them, "When you pray, say, `Our Father in heaven, May your name be kept holy. May your kingdom come. May your desire be done on Earth, as it is in heaven.
3Give us day by day our daily bread.
4Forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.`"
9I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you.
10For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
11Which of you fathers, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he won`t give him a snake instead of a fish, will he?
12Or if he asks for an egg, he won`t give him a scorpion, will he?
13If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"
21Now it happened, when all the people were baptized, that, Jesus also having been baptized, and praying, the sky was opened,
16But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.
12It happened in these days, that he went out into the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.
18It happened, as he was praying alone, the disciples were with him, and he asked them, "Who do the multitudes say that I am?"
35Early in the night, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed.
36Simon and those who were with him followed after him;
37and they found him, and told him, "All are seeking you."
38He said to them, "Let`s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, for to this end I came forth."
39He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
20As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
21Peter, remembering, said to him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away."
22Jesus answering said to them, "Have faith in God.
23For most assuredly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, `Be taken up and cast into the sea,` and doesn`t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says happens; he shall have whatever he says.
24Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.
25Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
26But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions."

32They came to a place which was named Gethsemane. He said to his disciples, "Sit here, while I pray."
33He took with him Peter, James, and John, and began to be greatly alarmed and distressed.
34He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch."
35He went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him.
36He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible to you. Please remove this cup from me. However, not what I want, but what you want."
37He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Couldn`t you watch one hour?
38Watch and pray, that you not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
39Again he went away, and prayed, saying the same words.
40Again he returned, and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they didn`t know what to answer him.
41He came the third time, and said to them, "Sleep on now, and take your rest. It is enough. The hour has come. Behold, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
42Arise, let us be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand."
46After he had taken leave of them, he departed into the mountain to pray.
28When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, "Why couldn`t we cast it out?"
29He said to them, "This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting."
25At that time, Jesus answered, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants.
26Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.
14For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15But if you don`t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
5"When you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites, for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Most assuredly, I tell you, they have received their reward.
6But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
7In praying, don`t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
8Therefore don`t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him.
9Pray like this. `Our Father, who is in heaven, may your name be kept holy.
10May your kingdom come. May your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever. Amen.`
7"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened to you.
8For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.
9Or what man is there of you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
10Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent?
11If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
38Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send forth laborers into his harvest."
22Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.
23Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you,
4I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers,
6that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us, in Christ Jesus.
7For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.
