Current coverage includes Acts, John, Luke, Mark, Revelation.
The kingdom of God is God’s saving reign breaking in through Jesus—announced, received like a gift, growing in hidden power, and culminating in Jesus’ messianic banquet hope.
This theme appears in passages such as Revelation, Luke, Mark, Acts, where the Bible develops it through story, instruction, warning, and promise. In Revelation 1:4–6 John opens by addressing seven Christian assemblies in Asia and blessing them with “grace” and “peace.” He names the source of this blessing as God, described as eternally present across time, and also as “the seven Spirits” before God’s throne. In Luke 4:38–44, Jesus moves from synagogue teaching to household and street-level need. He heals Simon’s mother-in-law by confronting the fever, and she immediately resumes normal service.
Start with Revelation 1:5-6, Luke 4:43, Mark 1:14-15, then follow the related passages in their own setting before drawing broad conclusions.
A theme page is strongest when it follows the Bible's own contexts. The goal is not to collect matching words, but to see how repeated ideas develop across passages, books, and the whole biblical story.
3To these he also showed himself alive after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days, and spoke about God`s kingdom.
6Therefore, when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israel?"
7He said to them, "It isn`t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within His own authority.
8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."
21When they had preached the gospel to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
22confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into the kingdom of God.
8He entered into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for a period of three months, reasoning and persuading about the things concerning the kingdom of God.
25Now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom of God, will see my face no more.
23When they had appointed him a day, they came to him into his lodging in great number. He explained to them, testifying about the kingdom of God, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.
30Paul stayed two whole years in his own rented house, and received all who went in to him,
31preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, without hinderance.
12But when they believed Philip preaching good news concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
28I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father`s hand.
36Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn`t be delivered to the Jews. But now my kingdom is not from here."
37Pilate therefore said to him, "Are you a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end I have come into the world, that I should testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."
16For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17For God didn`t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
18He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn`t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
3Jesus answered him, "Most assuredly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can`t see the kingdom of God."
5Jesus answered, "Most assuredly I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he can`t enter into the kingdom of God!
24Most assuredly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn`t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
25Most assuredly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God`s voice; and those who hear will live.
26For as the Father has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself.
27He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is a son of man.
28Don`t marvel at this, for the hour comes, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice,
29and will come forth; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.
27Don`t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For the Father, even God, has sealed him."
40This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day."
31Yet seek God`s kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.
43But he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; for this reason I have been sent."
20He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said, "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
1It happened soon afterwards, that he went about through cities and villages, preaching and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God, and with him the twelve,
2He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
14Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand! Repent, and believe in the gospel."
13They were bringing to him little children, that he should touch them, but the disciples rebuked those who were bringing them.
14But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, "Allow the little children to come to me! Don`t forbid them, for to such belong the kingdom of God.
15Most assuredly I tell you, whoever will not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he will in no way enter therein."
16He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
23Jesus looked around, and said to his disciples, "How difficult it is for those who have riches to enter into the kingdom of God!"
24The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus answered again, "Children, how hard is it for those who trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!
25It is easier for a camel to go through the needle`s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."
26They were exceedingly astonished, saying to him, "Then who can be saved?"
27Jesus, looking at them, said, "With men it is impossible, but not with God, for all things are possible with God."
28Peter began to tell him, "Behold, we have left all, and have followed you."
29Jesus said, "Most assuredly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or land, for my sake, and for the gospel`s sake,
30but he will receive one hundred times now in this time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, with persecutions; and in the age to come eternal life.
31But many who are first will be last; and the last first."
34When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." No one dared ask him any question after that.
25Most assuredly I tell you, I will no more drink of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God."
26He said, "So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed on the earth,
27and should sleep and rise night and day, and the seed should spring up and grow, he doesn`t know how.
28For the earth bears fruit: first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.
29But when the fruit is ripe, immediately he puts forth the sickle, because the harvest has come."
30He said, "How will we liken the kingdom of God? Or by what parable will we compare it?
31It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, though it is less than all the seeds that are on the earth,
32yet when it is sown, grows up, and becomes greater than all the herbs, and puts out great branches, so that the birds of the sky can lodge under its shadow."
1He said to them, "Most assuredly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death, until they see the kingdom of God come with power."
5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood;
6and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
15The seventh angel sounded, and there followed great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ. He will reign forever and ever!"
10I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now is come the salvation, the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
6I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns!
4I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as didn`t worship the beast nor his image, and didn`t receive the mark on their forehead and on their hand. They lived, and reigned with Christ one thousand years.
5The rest of the dead didn`t live until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over these, the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and will reign with him one thousand years.
1I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.
2I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.
3I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, God`s tent is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away.
9They sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, And to open its seals: For you were killed, And bought us for God with your blood, Out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,
10And made them kings and priests to our God, And they reign on earth."
